SALVS AVG reverse type depicting Salvs standing left feeding snake coiled around altar and holding vertical sceptre. Mint of Rome. Cf. RIC II, p. 371, no. 269. R. Abdy (British Museum) has examined this denarius and suggests that it is probably a contemporary plated copy.
