A worn early-medieval silver sceat of Secondary Phase Series G (variety b) dating to c. AD710-725, probably minted at Quentovic (France). Ref: Gannon 2013: pl. 19 nos 435-42).
Obverse; worn head right. Reverse: Diamond standard, central pellet in annulet, cross pommee aove and to the sides trefoil below.

A early-medieval contemporary copper-alloy imitation of an early penny (sceat) of Series J (type 37; Naismith Series Ja) dating to c. AD710-25. Ref: Naismith 2017: table 4, p 78; Gannon 2013: 115-6, nos 481-5.
The coin is corroded and in poor condition, chipped and abraded around the edge with the design surviving in patches of thin silver wash.
