An early-medieval copper-alloy styca of Aethelred II of Northumbria (probably first reign, 840 - 844), moneyer: Odilo. Ref: Pirie 1996. The obverse central motif on the reverse is a cross pattee (Pirie motif 1), on the reverse a cross of pellets (Pirie motif 6) . The spelling of Aethelred appears to be EDILRED (L inverted) placing it into Pirie's group C although Odilo is not listed for this group,

An early-medieval base silver styca of Eanred of Northumbria (c.810-41), belonging to Pirie's Phase 1a or 1b (c.810 - 835), moneyer: Eadwine (EADVINI). Northumbrian mint, probably York. Ref: Pirie 1996. The central motifs are both Pirie's motif 5, a large pellet in a ring of pellets.
