A copper alloy buckle plate of post-medieval date. The object has been classified as Whitehead type VI 'cooking pot' type with an integral spike (Whitehead 2003; 96, number VI), which is dated from c. AD 1690 to 1720. At the base of the object is a single internal spike. The spindle holds a bifurcated pin. On the underside of the plate, at the inside edge, there is a maker's mark in Roman capitals which appears to read SVNT or HVNT. The object has a mid-green patina and is in good condition. An incomplete copper alloy buckle or clasp of medieval date. The object has an incomplete rectangular frame. The top of the frame expands outwards to form a tri-loped projection possibly intended to be a cross, or an incomplete fleur-de-lis. This projection is decorated with incised cross-hatching. Below the projection is a circular perforation with an internal diameter of 4mm in diameter, this would have held the pin. A copper alloy buckle frame of medieval date. The object is pentagonal in shape with a narrowed offset bar and four broad sides to the outer edge. The longer two broad sides are slightly incurved. There are three separate circular bosses attached at each angle of the outer edge. To the reverse these are sub oval in section. The object has a light brown patina and the bosses have a mid-green patina and are corroded. The pin is missing. Dimensions: 27mm in length, 36mm in width, 6.5mm thick (including boss), 6.70g. One half of a post-Medieval lead alloy (pewter?) buckle (c. 1660-c. 1720). When complete the object would have been double looped with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The surviving end of the buckle is decorated with two circular openwork apertures, between which is an oval projection. The projection is decorated with a central groove. Each side of the apertures is a pointed knop. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003), p98, no. 613 and has been dated to c.1660-1720. Dimensions: 26mm in length, 20mm in width, 4mm thick, 3.3g.

The object is rectangular in plan with a heraldic moulded device of a lion walking left looking back towards his swirling tail within a thin rectilinear border. The motif stands in high relief against a roughened ground. Gilding remains on the outer face of the object suggesting that the decorative effect of light playing on a coruscating surface was intended. A copper alloy buckle pin of Medieval date. The object can be classified as a 'disc-on-pin' buckle pin, Type B: Central recess type, Redmayne (2014), FRG Datasheet 47. The disc is decorated with fine grooves which radiate outwards from the central circular depression. This depression is infilled with fragments of olive green material, probably enamel. The depression measures 6.14mm in diameter. The remains of gilding are visible on some of the grooves and ridges. The frame has been drilled for a separate spindle which is missing. Each end of the frame is decorated with three horizontal mouldings and the end of the frame terminates with a tri-lobed knop.
