An incomplete cast copper alloy, double loop, spectacle buckle dating from the early Post-Medieval period, AD 1500 - 1650. The frame has two oval loops with a moulded rosette on each outer edge and a small, rounded knop at each end of the strap bar. The upper face of the buckle is bevelled and the underside is flat. The pin is missing. The buckle frame is corroded but some smooth dark brown or black patina survives.

One half of a copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. Only one loop of the buckle remains. The buckle frame has a pointed end and rounded knops at each corner of the remaining loop. Rounded knops decorate the frame either end of the strap bar. The buckle frame is decorated with moulded hearts and scroll decoration. A copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the medieval period, c.1150-1230. The buckle has a D-shaped loop and an expanded frame with two rounded knops. Each knop is decorated with cross hatching which extends along each side of the buckle frame. The buckle frame straightens to form the sides of the strap bar which is oval in cross-section. A copper alloy buckle plate of post-medieval date. The object has been classified as Whitehead type VI 'cooking pot' type with an integral spike (Whitehead 2003; 96, number VI), which is dated from c. AD 1690 to 1720. At the base of the object is a single internal spike. The spindle holds a bifurcated pin. On the underside of the plate, at the inside edge, there is a maker's mark in Roman capitals which appears to read SVNT or HVNT. The object has a mid-green patina and is in good condition. The pin consists of a strip of copper alloy which loops over the strap bar. It tapers in width to a point and measures 18mm in length. The object has a brownish-green patina. The pin is missing and only one half of the frame survives.The surviving end of the buckle frame is trefoil shaped and each end of the strap bar has a lobed protrusion. An incomplete copper alloy double looped buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. The object has an oval frame which is D-shaped in cross-section. At each end of the strap bar is a decorative knop. A lump of iron corrosion remains attached to the strap bar. This suggests that the missing pin may have been iron. The outer frame is decorated with worn ridges and traces of black lacquer can be seen. An incomplete copper alloy possible buckle of uncertain date. The object consists of one end of the frame, the remaining sides having been lost during antiquity, and is D-shaped in cross-section. One end of the remaining frame is decorated with a raised sub-rectangular knop; this is broken on the inner face. In the centre of the object are four raised transverse collars, which are grouped in twos with a slightly larger gap in the centre. This may have been where the buckle pin would have rested. A copper alloy double looped annular buckle of medieval date. The buckle frame is moulded into a floral shape with five notches separating each 'petal'. Each petal is decorated with transverse incised lines. The pin is missing. The rear of the frame is flat and undecorated. The buckle has a mid-green patina and is in good condition. Dimensions: 28mm in length, 28mm in width, 3mm thick, 6.55g. A similar example which can be found in Whitehead (2003), p47, no.272 has been dated to c.1450-1550.

The pin is missing and one fork is incomplete. The object has a mid-green patina and file marks are visible on the rear. Dimensions: 37mm in length, 25mm in width, 3mm thick, 3.5g. Similar examples of buckles with composite plates can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p36 which have been dated c.1350-1450.

A copper alloy buckle of Medieval date. The object is oval in plan with two projecting terminals at either end. Each terminal curves upwards towards the buckle frame, terminating with a zoomorphic head. The terminals form the head of an animal, possibly a snake and has a ridged brow, raised pellet eyes to each side of the top of the head and rounded snout.
