A cast lead alloy bird feeder of Post-Medieval date. The feeder has a flat reverse to enable it to sit up against a cage or other item; the front of the feeder is rounded. The edges of the object are uneven. The object has a mid white patina and is undecorated. Although generally interpreted as bird feeders, these artefacts may also have been die shakers or measures. A parallel for this feeder was found in excavations in Southwark, London (Egan 2005: 129, no. 617). Cast lead cup possibly for use as a bird feeder. The object is circular in plan and U-shaped in cross-section. The lead is rolled over at the top of the object to form a rim. It is 29.01mm in length, 31.74mm in width 4.03mm thick and weighs 46.2mm. The object has a greyish white patina and probably dates to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700AD).

Cast lead bird feeder or water-trough. It is sub-circular in plan. There are two moulded horizontal ridges bordering the top outer surface of the object. Below this border are the letters IMH. The back of the object is flat and undecorated as is the base. The opening at the top is narrow and has been squashed inwards. It can be dated to the 16th - 17th century.
