A small silver medieval annular brooch, formed of twisted wire giving a cabled appearance. The pin is now broken into two pieces, one still attached to the brooch where it loops around the frame, the shaft of the pin now a separate fragment. The find therefore qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content. Treasure number 2010 T276.

A silver medieval brooch treasure case.. A complete Medieval silver annular brooch. The frame is flat and decorated with an incised pattern forming nine zigzags, with a constriction for a pin. The pin is triangular in section with a triangular-shaped collar and a tapering length terminating in a point, where the pin is damaged. The pin is decorated with a worn zigzag pattern. An incomplete and distorted Medieval silver annular brooch, Treasure Case: 2015 T886. The frame consists of a oval sectioned silver frame upon which are mounted two flower shaped bosses. Each surviving flower consists of eight petals arranged around a central circle. Each petal is orangy yellow in colour due to gilding. Neither the pin, nor its mounting survives. A silver brooch of Post-Medieval date. Treasure Case: 2015 T149. The body is an openwork heart shape topped by an openwork crown. The heart has a knop at the point and one knop on each lobe and the crown has three points, one now missing. There is a circular hole in between the crown and heart above the point where the heart shape is pinched. A silver ring brooch. Treasure Case 2016 T225. A medieval silver annular brooch with a domed profile, engraved with geometric decoration. The frame is made of silver sheet metal. The pin survives, looped through a hole in the frame. The brooch dates to the 13th-14th century. Dimensions: Diam: 21mm. Length of pin: 16mm. In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. Treasure Number: 2017 T1013 Medieval silver coin brooch. It is a silver coin that has been converted into a brooch by the addition of attachments to one side (current weight: 4.08g, diameter: 29mm). The coin is a silver gros tournois of Philip IV, King of France (1285-1307), a relatively large silver coin for the period. The utilisation of French gros tournois as brooches in this manner is familiar in England at this time, and there have been many finds of similar nature. One side of the hoop fragments which represents the front of the brooch, has interspersed incised vertical lines and circular punch marks between these lines.
