A silver brooch of Post-Medieval date. Treasure Case: 2015 T149. The body is an openwork heart shape topped by an openwork crown. The heart has a knop at the point and one knop on each lobe and the crown has three points, one now missing. There is a circular hole in between the crown and heart above the point where the heart shape is pinched. At this pinch is an integral bar around which the pin has been attached and the circular hole facilitates the pin's movement. The pin is made of a single sub-rectangular rod which tapers to a point. A silver Medieval toilet implement. The implement is a combined ear scoop and toothpick or nail cleaner made from sheet metal. The scoop consists of a twisted shaft with small spoon at one end and a flat plain shaft at the other end. The latter is bent into an S shape and the end has been broken, so that it is not clear whether this formed a toothpick or a nail cleaner, and may have terminated in a pointed tip.
