Description: tiny silver ring, the bezel divided into three with vertical lines, each division decorated with a lozenge and dot. The ring is slightly conical in shape, being wider on one side than the other suggesting that it may be some kind of fitting. If it is a ring it is for a child.
Discussion: This ring gas been examined by British Museum curators (Early Medieval, Medieval and Post-Medieval specialists) who have been unable to confirm a date or function for this ring. Given that both function and date are uncertain we are unable to confirm that it is over 300 years old.
