Obv: [ ]ELRAED REX (AE ligated); radiate crowned bust left Rev: MO L/VND; voided long cross, each limb terminates in a pyramid of three crescents. The cross is placed over a square with trefoils at its points.

Silver penny of Edward I, (1272-1307). Obv: EDWAR ANGL DNS HYB; Crowned bust forward. Rev: CIVITAS LONDON; long cross dividing legend, three pellets in each quarter. Probably type 10cf. North no. 1043/1; 1301-1310AD The coin is in poor condition. It was folded in half when found and has been heated up in order to straighten it out. It therefore has a poor light white patina and has been damaged.
