A silver Early Medieval dress hook, Read's Class A, Type 2. Treasure Case: Description: A complete silver early medieval hooked tag. It has a roughly circular plate, undecorated with two small circular holes set next to each other near to the upper edge. The hook projects from the centre of the lower edge and curves backward abruptly to terminate in a sharp point. Treasure Case: 2016 T942: An incomplete silver thimble of post-medieval date. The thimble has regular pits and a domed crown. The centre of the crown is un-pitted as is a horizontal band running around the centre transacted by three vertical bands to form three crosses. In the centre of each cross is a sexfoil, possibly representing a flower or sunshine. There is no visible maker's mark however the rim is broken on one side. Treasure case: 2015 T594. An incomplete silver pendant cross. The pendant is cruciform with a flat roundel at its centre from which three circular sectioned arms terminating in globular knops project. The fourth arm from the top of the pendant is missing and would have had a suspension loop at the top. One arm has been bent backwards slightly. The central roundel is decorated on each face with silver inlay. On one face it is in the form of an anchor with a transverse bar through the centre. A silver Saint Eadmund memorial penny, c.AD 895-910. Obverse, +OARI.VS (A inverted), in centre A. Reverse, +O_IICIS; cross pattee. Memorial coinage by Danish settlers. The inscriptions are blundered, which is typical of the later coins within the St Edmund series. On both sides the final letter is an S on its side, which is not unusual in this period.
