Treasure Case: 2019 T698 A silver cufflink element dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and is decorated with crown above two hearts in low relief reserved on a stippled field. The rear of the object is concave and the loop missing. The object is a well-known type. Similar examples which have been recorded on the PAS database and as Treasure include NMS-3C11C7 2012T798, LVPL-AC3AA1 2013T23 and LVPL-499C58. An incomplete early medieval hooked tag with nielloed ornament. The hooked tag has a circular plate with the remains of a projecting attachment hole at one end, and a complete hook at the other. The plate has a beaded incised border and a central incised motif filled with niello. The finder details are difficult to make out due to its present condition, but the snout and eye of at least one Trewhiddle style beast is discernible. The back of the hooked tag is plain.
