Treasure Case: 2016 T1015 Description and discussion: A medieval silver-gilt plaque depicting the Agnus Dei. The plaque is rectangular with a plain border around all four edges. In the centre is the Agnus Dei, facing right and supporting a cross. Short incised lines have been used for texture on the lamb's coat and the background is cross-hatched. The plaque is fragmentary. There is a small loss to the area left of the lamb's head which measures 7.8mm. A silver cut half penny of Eustace Fitzjohn struck in the regin of Stephen between AD 1145-1154. Minted in York, Mack Type 221, North no. 929. Obverse: [EVSTACIVS]; armed figure to right. Reverse: EBORACI[]; cross in quatrefoil. Martin Allen of the FitzWilliam Museum notes that only two other coins of this type have been recorded since the 1990s, both cut halves. Dimensions: 19mm in diameter, 0.75g.

A silver ring brooch. Treasure Case 2016 T225. A medieval silver annular brooch with a domed profile, engraved with geometric decoration. The frame is made of silver sheet metal. The pin survives, looped through a hole in the frame. The brooch dates to the 13th-14th century. Dimensions: Diam: 21mm. Length of pin: 16mm. In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. An incomplete and distorted Medieval silver annular brooch, Treasure Case: 2015 T886. The frame consists of a oval sectioned silver frame upon which are mounted two flower shaped bosses. Each surviving flower consists of eight petals arranged around a central circle. Each petal is orangy yellow in colour due to gilding. Neither the pin, nor its mounting survives. An incomplete Post-Medieval silver "bosun's" whistle. Treasure case 2015 T412. The object is oval or egg-shaped and is hollow. Each end of the object is decorated with an openwork sexfoil with a raised central pellet, possibly representing a flower. The two hemispheres of the object are conjoined by a raised ridge decorated by two grooves. The ridge measures 3.15mm in width. The object has a large perforation through the median ridge measuring 5.67mm in diameter. This is a silver Post-Medieval bosun's whistle, used for giving orders and signalling at sea and as a badge of status. …

A silver ring of Henig type X. D-shaped profile with a wide flattened bezel which tapers gently to a D-sectioned band.
