A silver ring brooch. Treasure Case 2016 T225.
A medieval silver annular brooch with a domed profile, engraved with geometric decoration. The frame is made of silver sheet metal. The pin survives, looped through a hole in the frame. The brooch dates to the 13th-14th century.
Dimensions: Diam: 21mm. Length of pin: 16mm.
In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

An incomplete and distorted Medieval silver annular brooch, Treasure Case: 2015 T886. The frame consists of a oval sectioned silver frame upon which are mounted two flower shaped bosses. Each surviving flower consists of eight petals arranged around a central circle. Each petal is orangy yellow in colour due to gilding.
Neither the pin, nor its mounting survives.
Dimensions: 38mm in length, 7mm in width (of flower), 1.5mm in width (of frame), 1.2g
