An incomplete cutlery handle of post-medieval to modern date. The fragment is sub-triangular in plan and oval in cross-section. The object has an iron core and an outer coating which is possibly silver measuring 1.5mm thick. At the incomplete end is a projection of the dark grey silver coating. Iron corrosion has leached through the surface at the terminal end of the handle obscuring the decoration and causing pitting in the outer surface of the object.
