A silver medieval brooch treasure case..
A complete Medieval silver annular brooch. The frame is flat and decorated with an incised pattern forming nine zigzags, with a constriction for a pin. The pin is triangular in section with a triangular-shaped collar and a tapering length terminating in a point, where the pin is damaged. The pin is decorated with a worn zigzag pattern. The reverse of the brooch is plain.

A small medieval piece of sheet metal, rectangular in shape, terminating at one end in a point. The centre of the pointed end has an aperture punched through it. Around the edges there is a border of tooled decoration of roughly zigzag formation. The reverse is undecorated.
The object is silver and dates from the fifteenth century.
Dimensions: length 16 mm, width 8 mm.
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
