An incomplete and damaged medieval silver artefact, possibly a brooch, with traces of gilding. The object is square in cross-section, with two of the rims decorated with an incised zigzag pattern. It is broken at both ends, with one terminating in a plain tip. In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. A silver medieval brooch treasure case.. A complete Medieval silver annular brooch. The frame is flat and decorated with an incised pattern forming nine zigzags, with a constriction for a pin. The pin is triangular in section with a triangular-shaped collar and a tapering length terminating in a point, where the pin is damaged. The pin is decorated with a worn zigzag pattern.
