An incomplete lead-tin or pewter alloy hunting whistle dating to the 18th - 19th century. The terminal of the whistle is in the form of an animal, probably a fox's head. The fox has a long oval snout beneath which is a linear mouth. Either side of the snout are lentoid eyes above which are pronounced and ridged eyebrows. An incomplete lead alloy zoomorphic terminal in the form of a dog or wolf's head. The terminal is likely from a whistle. The animal has an elongated snout the end of which is rounded and a clenched jaw. Behind the front teeth a perforation runs through the mouth to the opposite side. The eyes, on each side of the head, are rounded pellets with ridged brows above. The ears are sub-rectangular and flattened against the side of the head. A cast lead alloy object of unceratin function and date. The object is sub-circular in plan and oval in cross-section. At the top of the object is a central projection which is oval in cross-section. The projection is incomplete and possibly would have formed an attachment loop. John Kershaw appears to have been a mercer and draper with a business in Rochdale, and is also thought to have been concerned with a woollen factory in the town.

An incomplete copper alloy fob seal matrix of late post-medieval to modern date. The fob seal is rectangular in plan with a clear dark glass intaglio inset into the centre. The glass is dark green although translucent. There is a red substance adhered to the glass. The reverse is domed and decorated with linear incised lines radiating form the centre where the handle would have been attached. A Prisoner of War plaque dating to the modern period. The object is rectangular in plan with punched lettering reading M.4482. TOTEDA. FRANCE: Each corner of the object has a rivet hole for attachment. The rear of the object is undecorated however the impressions from the punch marks are visible. The object is light silver in colour, possibly aluminium or tin. In the centre of the object is a vertical groove or crease showing where it was folded at the time of discovery. The object is not an official issue plaque but may have been used to mark something such as a box.

Cast copper alloy object, possibly a key from a musical instrument dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object has a circular recessed area at one end and a long stem, the end of which is rounded. There is a small rivet hole penetrating through the width of the stem of the object. The recessed circular area would hold the pad that closed the valve on the instrument. It has a reddish green patina and the remains of gilding can be seen. It is probably dates to the 18th century. A similar object which can be found on the database is BERK-600AC6.

Flint flake which is irregular in shape. Both the bulb of percussion and ripples are visible. Large chips have been broken from the edges and it has not been retouched. It has been struck irregularly with a very hard blow, and this along with the 'crushed' edges indicates that the flake may have been struck in modern times. It has a smooth mid-grey patina.

It is rectangular in cross-section. On the inner face of the hoop is an inscription which reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA BRITT OMN REX FID DEF IND IMP. The object has a smooth mid-green patina and hammer marks are visible on the edges.
