Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 4.l. sub group, hinged flat wing ends type). The bow rises high from the wings and curves downwards. The wings are semi-clindrical and undecorated. The top of the bow is decorated with a plain rib and it has a dark green patina. There is a ridge running down both edges of the bow which starts below the wings and runs to the foot. There is a knob at the foot with a groove. The catchplate is complete and has a backward hook. The pin is missing.

Roman penannular brooch. The ring is of even thickness and it has a green patina. It has round terminal knobs which are flattened where they face the gap. The pin is broken half way down it's length. The barrel of the pin is decorated with two small incised lines. It is of type A3 and can be dated to the early first century AD.

Roman copper alloy bow brooch of the Wirral type. It is mainly complete but the pin is missing. It is a hinged example and the catchplate is complete. The head is stepped and the headloop is complete. The headloop has a pointed top and so is not quite circular. There are two steps which are incised with vertical lines. The upper bow is decorated with three raised vertical panels. The central panel is decorated with incised horizontal lines while the outer two are plain.
