A silver shilling probably of William III, (1688-1694) possibly intended to be a love token. The coin is worn on each face and has been bent into a gentle S-shape. Ths suggests that it was re-used as a love token. Coins of William III were commonly converted into love tokens. Each face of the coin is worn and heavily scratched. Dimensions: 25mm in diameter, 4.25g

A silver shilling probably of William III, possibly intended to be a love token. Reverse: [ ]; crowned cruciform shields. Obverse: [GVLI]ELMVS III [DEI GRA]; laureate bust right. The coin is worn and has been bent this may suggest that it was re-used as a love token. However it has not been bent into the typical S-shape and therefore it may also be post-depositional damage. Dimensions: 26mm in diameter, 5.35g.
