An incomplete copper alloy and silvered trumpet brooch of Roman date. The brooch has a typical oval or 'trumpet' shaped head. The bow tapers in width towards the small oval foot. In the centre of the bow is an oval waist moulding of outward-bowing diamond shapes. Above and below the waist moulding is a double transverse collar. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill brooch, see Mackreth 2011, Chapter 3, Part 3, CD PH 4. a-b. The head of the brooch arched curving downwards and tapering towards the rounded foot. The wings of the brooch are tubular and capped at each end. The object is a sprung example with the spring coiling round nine times on the axis bar before extending in the center to form the incomplete pin. The pin terminates with a recent break. A lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to medieval date. The object is circular in plan with curved sides and flattened faces.The object has a large central circular perforation which measures 9mm in diameter. Each face is worn with a light white patina and is undecorated. Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1100-1500. Dimensions: 24mm in diameter, 3mm thick, 10.9g.

A silver Roman mount. Treasure case: 2016 T35 Silver horse-harness pendant, originally probably teardrop-shaped by now broken through the middle so missing its terminal. The pendant is composed of sheet silver that narrows to a strip of metal to form the hoop, folded over the back and riveted. Although the circular rivet survives, the hoop itself is broken through and missing. The surviving pendant is decorated with lines of punched dots that radiate out from the rivet and a central straight line. In addition there are triangles of punched dots on each shoulder. A copper alloy unidentified object of possible Roman date. The object is irregular in plan and may be in the form of an animal such as a dolphin or a dragon. The object has a curved and pointed 'head' from the top of which is a triangular projection. Behind the 'head' is a circular hole measuring 4mm in diameter for attachment. The object has a triangular arch at the back and curves round where it terminates in a possible tail. It is circular in plan and in profile the brooch is D shaped, with a pronounced angular conical central boss which is surmounted by an abraded copper alloy nipple or knop..
