The pendant is made of a disc of gold sheet that is scratched and heavily bent in several places. Underneath the now missing loop a triangle is formed by beaded gold wire that is framed by spirals made of thinner beaded wires. Inside the triangle are undecorated gold strips that may have framed a now lost decorative stone. The loop has been cut off. The centre is decorated with the design of an anthropomorphic head with bust in contour lines. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman harness fitting. The object is strap-mounted and skirted terret ring. It is missing the top of the hoop and the point of the 'skirt' due to old breaks. At the top of the object is the integral hoop, which is sub-oval in section. The hoop would have acted as a rein guide. Beneath the hoop is the flaring skirt, which is lozenge shaped in plan, and folded along its centre at an angle of 45 degrees to give an inverted V-shaped profile with the hoop along the central ridge. A complete cast copper alloy (bronze) short flanged axe of Middle Bronze Age dating, probably of the Acton Park I metalwork assemblage and dating from c.1700 to c. 1500BC. The axe has a shield shaped pattern below a very slight stop ridge, and raised flange facets. The blade of the object expands outwards to a crescentic cutting edge. The cutting edge measures 1mm thick. In profile the blade is sub-triangular with the widest section being before the stop ridge.
