A complete cast copper alloy (bronze) short flanged axe of Middle Bronze Age dating, probably of the Acton Park I metalwork assemblage and dating from c.1700 to c. 1500BC. The axe has a shield shaped pattern below a very slight stop ridge, and raised flange facets. The blade of the object expands outwards to a crescentic cutting edge. The cutting edge measures 1mm thick. In profile the blade is sub-triangular with the widest section being before the stop ridge. A cast copper alloy small axe of Early Bronze Age date. It is of narrow butted form with slight low flanges to either side. The relatively straight sided body broadens to the blade, which is 3.41mm thick. There an indication of the beginings of a stop ridge. The surfaces are all severely affected by invasive corrosion with marked pitting. The butt is slightly chipped. A medium brown patina is visible on many of the surfaces invaded by the dark green corrosive products that are visible on all surfaces. It is 81.52mm in length, 32.50mm wide and 9.36mm thick. Cast copper alloy fragment of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. The fragment consists of the tapering foot of the brooch. It is decorated with three faint transverse collars below which are the faint remains of an animal-head. The object is flat on the reverse and sub-circular in cross-section. On the reverse are the remains of the broken catchplate. It has a dark brown patina and is in poor condition. A similar example is fig. 12.4, p97 MacGregor and Bolick, (1993).

A detachable half-round side knob from a cruciform brooch, with a slot for the headplate in the flat end. The waist is bordered by four grooves towards the flat end and one groove towards the rounded end. The object has a terminal nipple, and a partly open reverse. The object has a smooth mid-green patina and can be dated to the late 5th-early 6th century.

The pendant is made of a disc of gold sheet that is scratched and heavily bent in several places. Underneath the now missing loop a triangle is formed by beaded gold wire that is framed by spirals made of thinner beaded wires. A silver Saint Eadmund memorial penny, c.AD 895-910. Obverse, +OARI.VS (A inverted), in centre A. Reverse, +O_IICIS; cross pattee. Memorial coinage by Danish settlers. The inscriptions are blundered, which is typical of the later coins within the St Edmund series. On both sides the final letter is an S on its side, which is not unusual in this period.

A copper alloy strap-end probably of Thomas's Class A, type 1. The strap-end is made from a piece of copper alloy a maximum of 3mm thick, with a split at the attachment end. The attachment end is incomplete and worn. Worn decoration is visible on the outer face of the object within a rectangular panel and is highlighted by areas of silvering however the exact design cannot be determined. Cast copper alloy centre-looped cosmetic pestle dating to the Iron Age. The object consists of a plain concentric rod with tapered ends. The rod is circular in cross-section. There is a small circular suspension loop which joins to the centre of the concave edge of the crescentic rod, by a short stem. A small moulded collar separates the stem and the loop. It has a smooth mid-green patina and shows some sign of wear on the tapered ends. These objects can be dated from the 1st century BC to the early 2nd century AD. A similar example can be found on p.118, fig 8 Britannia Vol XVI, 1985.

Cast copper alloy double looped oval buckle dating to the Medieval period. The buckle consists of two oval loops and a dividing bar. The bar is corroded in the centre perhaps where the pin rested. The frame is flat and rectangular in cross-section. File marks can be seen on one surface of the buckle. It has been slightly bent. The pin is missing and it has a mid-green patina. The buckle can be dated from 1350-1650. Similar examples can be found on p53, Whitehead, (2003).

Cast copper alloy belt mount dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). It is domed with a central circular section and a rectangular terminal at each end. There is a perforation in each end with a rivet in each which would have been used to attach the mount to a belt. The central lobe has been decorated with three grooves. Unusually there is a hole drilled from the front in the centre of this middle section. This form of belt mount was very popular in the medieval period and was in use from at least 1150-1450 AD.
