An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester Derivative brooch of Roman date, c. AD50-150. The wings are sub-rectangular in plan and are incomplete. The more complete wing is decorated with two vertical raised bands incised with transverse notches. The bow extends out and down from the wings tapering in width to where it terminates in a break above the foot. At the top of the head is an irregular projection, possibly the base of an incomplete headloop. Below this on the head of the bow is a central raised ridge which appears to be a flattened and corroded forward facing hook. …

Treasure case: 2015 T594. An incomplete silver pendant cross. The pendant is cruciform with a flat roundel at its centre from which three circular sectioned arms terminating in globular knops project. The fourth arm from the top of the pendant is missing and would have had a suspension loop at the top. One arm has been bent backwards slightly. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamelled Headstud brooch (AD 75-200). Bayley and Butcher Type 'b' (hinged pin and fixed headloop). This brooch is 'T'-shaped in plan and curved in profile. At the head of the brooch there is a stub of an attachment or chain loop. The short wings are sub-rectangular in plan and cylindrical in cross-section. One half of a copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and flat. One half, the strap bar and pin are missing. The object is decorated with openwork with two facing kidney shaped voids at the end of the object and a rectangular void either side of where the strap bar would have been. The outer edges of the frame are undulating. The object is covered with a shiny white coating, probably tin. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p80 and date from c. 1620-1690. Dimensions: 26mm in length, 33mm in width, 1mm thick, 4.8g.

A Medieval copper alloy finger ring, dating to AD1200-1500. The object has a circular hoop which is D-shaped in section. The hoop is decorated with a central band incised with groups of 2-4 transverse grooves. Either side of the band the edges of the outer face of the hoop are decorated with a series of transverse grooves. The internal face of the object is undecorated however file marks are visible. A copper-alloy seal matrix of Late Medieval date. The matrix is circular with a hexagonally faceted stem with a trefoil terminal. The face is engraved with a crowned letter 'R' flanked by a pair of feathers. The terminal handle has been bent slightly to one side and is corroded. The object has a smooth dark brown patina with patches of light green corrosion in places. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman harness fitting. The object is strap-mounted and skirted terret ring. It is missing the top of the hoop and the point of the 'skirt' due to old breaks. At the top of the object is the integral hoop, which is sub-oval in section. The hoop would have acted as a rein guide. Part of a Post Medival (Whitehead, 2003: 74) copper alloy rectangular double loop buckle. Ther edges are bevelled and there are two moulded knops on either end of the strap bar where the other half of the buckle has broken off. The breakage lines may suggest a slighty flared opposite loop making the buckle asymetric, though there is no way of proving this. The pin is still attatched.
