A copper alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period, (400-1066). The head of the pin is globular. The shaft is circular in cross-section and terminates with an ancient break. At the junction between the head and the shaft is a circumferential collar. The head of the pin is undecorated and the object has a dark green patina.
Dimensions: 34mm in length, 7mm in width (of head), 2.8g.
Pins of this type are typically dated to the mid-late Anglo-Saxon period, c.700-820AD.

A cast copper alloy horse harness pendant dating to the Medieval period. The object is rectangular in plan and curves slightly in profile. At the top of the hanger is an integral transverse loop for attachment which has been twisted. On each face of the object there is no remaining decoration. The object has a patchy mid to dark brown patina.

A copper alloy belt mount or strap slide of post-medieval date. The object is symmetrical with a rectangular central panel and tapering rounded ends with a decorative knop. Projecting from each side of the rectangular central section is a rearward facing integral tab. These may have joined forming a strap slide when complete. Each face of the object is coated with a white metal, probably silver or tin.

A lead alloy probable token of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and flat with a slightly raised circumferential rim. The centre of the object is decorated with a moulded H with a pellet joining each line of the letter. Above and below the horizontal line/bar of the H is another pellet. Surrounding the central motif is a circumferential border. A moulded, seven pointed, star burst motif decorates the outer border of the object. Within and each side of the points of the star is a single pellet.

A fragment of Roman greyware dating from AD 43-410. The fragment is a rim-sherd, sub-rectangular in plan and slightly curved in profile. The object is broken on each side and the base while the rim curves outwards with an oval cross-section. The fabric is fine and sandy with a smooth feel. It is a pale grey colour on each face while the internal fabric is a mid-orange showing the vessel was not fired through.

A cast copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch dating to the Roman period. The object is flat at the top of the rectangular head. It tapers downwards forming the bow and terminates with a rounded foot. The wings are semi-circular in cross-section and the end of each wing is damaged. The bow is decorated with two vertical panels containing alternating rectangular cells of alternating enamel. Blue enamel remains within five of the cells, the other cells are empty.

A copper alloy trumpet brooch from the Roman period, dating to c.1st to 2nd centuries AD. The trumpet brooch has a typical oval head with a double circumferential decorative groove. At the top of the head is a sub-rectangular tab which would have expanded to form a head loop. The bow arches out from the head and tapers towards the leg where it terminates just above the missing foot with a recent break. The bow is oval in cross-section. A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and bi-conical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 11mm. One face is decorated with a moulded five pointed star. At each point of the star is a large moulded pellet. On the opposite face of the object are six upright triangular projections. Between the projections worn moulding is visible, possibly also representing a star. The object has a mid-grey patina and is worn.

A copper alloy stirrup-shaped, medieval finger ring. The ring rises from the shoulders into a pointed bezel that is sub-triangular in plan. The setting is empty, except for the remains of a white adhesive or solder. One side of the bezel has a V-shaped notch while the other side runs straight across. Gilding is visible on each face of the object and the lower half of the hoop where it thins due to wear has been bent out of shape.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy spur dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The spur is a narrow D-shape in cross-section with an offset, moulded double-looped terminal. The terminal is in the form of an openwork figure of eight with a central hole. Either side of the central hole is a decorative groove. The arm of the fragment terminates with a break, above the break is a diagonal decorative moulding where the arm of the fragment thickens.

An incomplete early medieval hooked tag with nielloed ornament. The hooked tag has a circular plate with the remains of a projecting attachment hole at one end, and a complete hook at the other. The plate has a beaded incised border and a central incised motif filled with niello. The finder details are difficult to make out due to its present condition, but the snout and eye of at least one Trewhiddle style beast is discernible. The back of the hooked tag is plain.
