A cast copper alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period, (AD 1066-1500). The object is rectangular in plan and cross-section. The strap end consists of a single sheet of copper alloy which has been folded widthways and would have been secured at the open end with rivets. Two rivet holes remain at the open end of the object and are within a raised circular projection. On the rear of the object the holes are flat. One element of a two-part, cast copper alloy swivel, of medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1500. It consists of a ring of metal, flattened at one side, where there is a projecting integral void in which the second part would have rotated. The projection is faceted on each face. On each side of the ring are moulded projections which are very worn but which may have been zoomorphic in style. The object has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. A fragment of cast copper-alloy Post-Medieval spur frame, c. 17th century. The fragment survives as the terminal end of the right side of a probable rowel spur, snapped towards the rowel attachment end. Unlike medieval spurs, the terminal holes are further apart forming an oblique figure of eight. Moulded ridged lines run either side of the hole closest to the frame of the spur. The object has a browninsh green patina and is in fair condition. Dimensions: 45mm in length, 9mm in width, 5mm thick, 8.3g A similar example which can be found on the PAS database is KENT-39CC78

A cast copper alloy forked spacer from a Medieval strap end. The strap end would have been of composite type with a forked spacer. Both the front and back plate of the strap end are missing and each arm is broken at the same place. The object terminates with a moulded collared knop possibly in the form of an acorn. It is similar to a number of examples illustrated in Egan and Pritchard's 'Dress Accessories' (1991), page 144, plate 94. A complete cast post-medieval copper alloy coin weight. The object is square in plan. The obverse is too worn to discern. The reverse shows a crown with three points above V S. Below this is V I D. This shows the value of coins of the same weight would be 5 shillings and 6 pence. The shilling first came into use with attempts made during the reign of Edward VI (1547-1553) to reduce the debasement of coins and increase the fineness of silver coinage. This makes the earliest possible date for this coin weight to be AD 1549, though it is probably somewhat later.

Post Medieval copper alloy coin weight for a James I Unite of 22 shillings. It is circular in plan. One face is stamped with a crown above the numerals XXII with the letter S below. The other face is heavily worn but the monarch's sceptre is still visible. It is now underweight, possibly due in part to wear. Dates to between 1604 and 1625. The object weighs 8.8g and measures 18mm in diameter. Similar weights on the database include IOW-C72D62, HAMP-294BA6, and IOW-3D4413.

An almost complete copper alloy Colchester derivative, rearhook with fantail brooch dating to the eatrly Roman period. The wings are tubular and hollow, the spring and pin missing. The bow rises up and arches out from the wings before expanding in width towards the foot. Each side of the bow is decorated with a raised vertical rib running from the head to the foot of the object. The ridges are notched. At the rear of the object, the catchplate is almost complete and measures 12mm in length. The object has a smooth dark green patina and is slightly pitted in places.

The disc is pierced on one face with five pits, one in centre surrounded by four more evenly spaced. The opposite face of the object is undecorated. The object has a light brown patina. An incomplete copper alloy late lobed sword pommel of Early Medieval date, c.10th-11th century. Petersen L type VI. The base of the object would have rested upon a concave pommel bar. The interior of the pommel has an oval opening at the base and converging sides towards the oval aperture at the apex of the pommel. This would have accommodated the protruding sword tang. The brooch is a hinged example with tubular wings with end caps. The head of the brooch rises up from the wings and tapers downwards forming the bow of the object, terminating at the foot. The pin head is decorated with two punched dots on each face and one punched dot on each narrow side. There is no visible decoration on the top of the head. The head tapers in width towards the integral shaft. There is no collar at the junction of the head and the shaft. The shaft is oval in cross section and undulating, possibly due to use.
