An incomplete copper alloy spearhead of later Middle Bronze Age to Late Bronze Age date, c.1500-800 BC.
The object is triangular in plan with a central raised rib on each face. The mid rib is lozenge shape and extends to the base of the object where it terminates with a break. The tip of the spearhead is complete and measures 4mm in width and 3mm thick.
There is no remaining evidence of a socket. The object has a smooth olive-green patina which is pitted and chipped in places, probably due to damage within the plough soil.

An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch of the Wirral type dating to the Roman period. The object is a hinged example.
The upper bow is decorated with three vertical grooves. Each groove is empty but was possibly once filled with enamel as in LVPL-98299D.
Above the panels is a raised bulb, and beyond that the projection tapers to a swan head like terminus. Below the panels are two lateral cylinters with faint incised decoration. On one outer edge of the object a spur remains attached. This is usually filled down and removed after casting.

An incomplete copper alloy pin or implement probably of Roman date. The object has a flattened oval head and an oval sectioned shaft. The head of the object is pierced in the centre with a perforation measuring 3.5mm in diameter. Each face of the object is undecorated and the shaft terminates with an ancient break. There is no visible collar or decoration at the junction between the head and the shaft.
The exact function of this object is uncertain however it may have been a cosmetic implement, pin or clothing fattener. The object has a dark brown patina and is in fair condition.

The object is almost complete and is a sprung example. The bow is comma-shaped in profile, D-shaped in section, and tapers in width to where it terminates with a recent break. The wings are semi-cylindrical with end caps. The bow rises from the top of the wings sweeping in an arc towards the foot. The brooch terminates with an ancient break. The outer face of the bow is decorated with a deep central vertical groove.

A cast copper alloy 'fob' or 'dangler' dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period, (c 200BC-100AD). The object consists of four arms, and an incomplete shank which would have expanded to form a suspension loop. The shank is sub-rectangular and measures 7mm in width, 6mm thick and 7mm in length.

A complete iron Shot/Cannonball of probable Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is sub-spherical in shape slightly flattened on two opposite faces. The surface is heavily pitted and corroded with much of the adhering iron corrosion having been removed following its discovery.
The size is small either suggesting it was used as grape shot or that it was for a small hand-held cannon (possibly a rabinet (1inch bore). A similar example which can be found on the PAS database is NARC-49A3CE.

An iron cannon ball of possible Civil War date. The ball measures 73mm in diameter and weighs 1642g / 3lb 9.9oz. The ball is stamped with a mark which is worn and unclear, possibly 2G. The object is iron however corrosion has been cleaned off leaving it a mid-grey colour with light brown patches and traces of adhering iron corrosion.

An incomplete lead alloy three-dimensional unidentified object of post medieval date. It is U-shaped in plan with a narrow rounded top and is open at the bottom. Between each face at the base project two curved strips of lead alloy which taper in width to a point, these may have origionally joined to form a loop. An iron rivet runs between attaching both faces together. The object is decorated on each face with a central moulded pannel of rings and diagonal ridges. Three verticle ridges decorate one side of the central pannel.

An incomplete copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. Only one loop of the buckle survives and the pin is missing. Each end of the strap bar is rounded and the end of the buckle frame is decorated with a pointed knop which is notch for the buckle pin to rest. The rear of the object is undecorated and the frame is slightly concave. The object has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition.
Similar examples can be found in Whitehead, (2003) and have been dated to c.1550-1650.
Dimensions: 30mm in width, 26mm in length, 3mm thick, 5.1g.

A incomplete lead alloy decorative object of post-medieval to modern date. The object is U-shaped in plan with an undulating upper edge and has been bent out of shape, possibly due to recent damage from the plough.
The outer face is decorated with two tall leaves which are separated by four vertical grooves. The decoration is moulded and surrounded by a grooved border. The rear of the object is undecorated. The fragment has a mid-brown to dark grey patina and is in fair condition. There is no evidence for attachment on the rear of the object.

A copper alloy double looped trapezoidal buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has sub-rectangular loops. The outer frame has pointed ends and rounded knops on the corners of the frame. There is a notch at each end where the pin would have rested. Traces of tinning are visible on the outer face of the objet. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p83 which have been dated to c.1620-1680.

A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and bi-conical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 8mm. Each face is decorated with an eight pointed moulded starburst design. Between each point of the star is a single raised pellet. The object has a light brown patina and is in fair condition.
Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the medieval period…
