Two pieces of copper alloy waste. The first piece is rectangular in plan. It is 23.55mm in length, 21.41mm wide, 6.61mm thick and weighs 11.7g. The second piece is irregular in form with three rounded projections. It is 37.68mm in length, 16.42mm wide, 3.85mm thick and weighs 7.7g.

Small cast bronze ring of uncertain date. The object is small and thin. It is circular in plan and in cross-section. The function of the object is unknown however it is not likely to be a finger ring due to its small size and simplicity. The smooth dark green patina suggests that the object has some age to it.

Cast bronze object of uncertain and date. It is sub-oval in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The object is decorated with a series of incised lines. The lines run down each edge at a diagonal angle creating almost a herringbone effect. However they do not meet in the middle. These lines stop mid way down the object where there are four horizontal lines. Below this is a circular, sun-burst like decoration. The other side is undecorated. It has a dark green patina.

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is U-shaped in plan with zoomorphic duck or bird terminals. Extending down from the centre of the object is a circular-sectioned shaft, measuring 3mm thick, which appears to be hollow and is soil filled. The birds are each identical with open mouths and rounded beaks and circular annulet eyes. At the top of each head is an undulating raised ridge. A lead alloy probable bead of unceratain date. The bead is circular in plan and flat with a hole pierced through the centre. The perforation has an internal diameter of 3mm and would have allowed the bead to be threaded. Each face of the object is undecorated and it has a mid-cream patina. There are few diagnostic attributes to the bead and it is therefore difficult to date. Dimensions: 16mm in diameter, 3mm diameter of perforation, 2mm thick, 3.9g.

Cast copper alloy Roman proto crossbow brooch. It has a plain crossbar. The coils of the spring survive inside the head however the pin is missing. The bow arches outwards creating a P-shaped profile. A pannel decorated with dots and circles runs the length of the bow. At the base of the bow is a cross moulding. The foot also has a pannel of decoration running down it, however the detail of the decoration is unclear. The catchplate is complete.

Fragment of the base of greyware pottery dating to the Roman period, (43-410AD). It is sub-rectangular in plan. The outer edge is curved. The upper surface is a smooth pinkish grey. The lower surface is worn and pitted, and light grey in colour. The internal fabric is a darker grey. There is no evidence of glazing.

Cast copper alloy headstud brooch dating to the Roman period, (43-410AD). The object is a hinged example and has short semi tubular wings. The headstud is a horizontal oval and the wings are decorated with two stepped ridges. The bow expands downwards from the head and is undecorated. The reverse of the brooch is hollow and a small fragment of the pin remains attached. The brooch terminates in a break. It has a light green patina and is in good condition. The object can be dated from 75-200AD.
