A copper alloy lace tag dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The object is conical and semi-circular in cross section. The top end is open while the opposite end terminates with a collared globular point. There are two opposing rivet holes, one of which is broken. The object is worn and has a light green patina.

Cast copper alloy dragonesque brooch dating from 75-175AD. The brooch is flat and in the form of a large 'S' with an expanded waist. Only one animal head remains, which is pointed oval in plan with an oval recess for an eye. The nose of the object has broken away. The back of the head extends up and is shaped representing ears which have been damaged. At the opposite end would have been another head which has broken away from the object. A cast copper alloy bucket escutcheon or mount in the form of a bovine head. The head would be mostly likely positioned along the rim and would be vertical. Protruding and integral to the upper edge of the object is a semi-circular lug with a circular perforation or rivet hole for attachment. The outer edge of the attachment is decorated with a series of deliberate indentions. The head of the bull is sub-rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. Cast copper alloy Romano-British miniature terret ring. The terret is oval in plan and the hoop is oval in cross-section. The object tapers from the bar towards the top. The bar is narrowed and there is a collar at either side. It has a mid-green patina and is corroded. Similar examples which can be found on the database are NMS-032B00 and YORYM-6BDBA4.

Cast copper alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period, (400-1066AD). The object has a polyhedral head below which is a circular transverse collar. The shaft is oval in cross-section and terminates in a modern break. The head is decorated with a large ring-and-dot on the centre of each face. Above and below which are two more ring-and-dot decorations on the side facets of the head. The top of the head is lozenge shaped. Traces of gilding can be seen on the head of the pin. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition.

Cast copper alloy medieval hook attachment from a spur. The object has a rectangular head from which expands a forward projecting hook. The hook is incomplete and is oval in cross-section. Expanding from the top of the head is a rearward facing lug or hook. The lug tapers to a point and is rectangular in cross-section. The object has a reddish-brown patina and is corroded.

Cast copper alloy toggle possibly dating from the late Iron Age to Roman period. The object is symmetrical in form. At each end is a terminal of inverted conical form, creating a flat end. There is a slight swelling at the centre of the object which is defined with a central transverse groove. Each end of the object is corroded and damaged. There is no visible evidence for attachment however it may be obscured by the corrosion. The object has a mottled red and green patina.

A small cast lead weight containing a copper-alloy Styca, of Aethelred II, (c.840-858AD). The reverse of the coin reads EDILRED REX, placing it in Pirie's Phase C which can be either first or second reign. Due to the good condition of the coin it is likely that it was not very old when pressed into the lead. It probably dates from the mid-late 9th century. Similar examples of coins embedded in weights on the database are LIN-3DFD27 YORYM-8054B2. Similar examples can be found on p19, Biggs and Withers, (2000).

Cast copper alloy mount for use as a sword hanger. The plate has a foliate design on the upper surface and is divided in two by a central openwork decoration. One side of the object is pierced by a rivet hole while on the other side the corroded rivet remains in situ. An integral suspension loop is attached to the lower edge of each half of the object. It is slightly curved in profile. The object has a mid green patina and can be dated to the 16th century. Similar examples can be found on p39 and 43 of Reed, (2001).

A post-medieval/modern gun-flint from a flintlock musket. The flint is rectangular in plan and cross-section with sloping edges to give it a trapezoidal side view. The flint is mid-grey in colour. The flintlock was introduced in the middle of the 16th century but it was not until the reign of William III that the flintlock became the main regulation firearm for the British Army.
