Cast copper alloy button and loop fastener of Wild Class III dating from the Roman period. The object is lentoid in form with a central dome decorating its upper surface. A deep groove runs around the dome.A shaft emerges from the base of the reverse and turns at a right angle to form a triangular loop. The object is in very good condition and has a mid-green patina. The toggle can be classified as Wild class III. A similar example which can be found on the database is LEIC-968A13. It can be dated to the 2nd century AD.

Cast lead ampulla dating to the Medieval period, (1350-1530). The bowl is round and the neck is wide and long, flaring slightly towards the mouth. There are traces of decoration on both faces of the bowl. On one face the decoration consists of three semi-circular designs, one at the base and one at either side, which are filled with cross-hatching. A cast copper alloy bucket escutcheon or mount in the form of a bovine head. The head would be mostly likely positioned along the rim and would be vertical. Protruding and integral to the upper edge of the object is a semi-circular lug with a circular perforation or rivet hole for attachment. The outer edge of the attachment is decorated with a series of deliberate indentions. The head of the bull is sub-rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. A silver ring of Henig type X. D-shaped profile with a wide flattened bezel which tapers gently to a D-sectioned band. The ring is set with an oval translucent orange stone (unengraved), probably a carnelian. Good condition with minimal signs of wear and a patchy dark grey patina. A medieval gold annular (ring) brooch, circular in shape, terminating in two clasped hands. It has two inscribed facets punctuated by colons with a quatrefoil flower at the base and centre right. Reading clockwise from the pin, the letters (on the inner band) are V O : V O and (on the outer band) V O ? : V O L. The pin is plain with a beaded collar. The clasped hands may once have held a pearl or a gem, now lost. The reverse of the brooch is flat and plain. Comparable brooches are 2006 T119 and 2007 T389. An incomplete cast copper alloy strip bracelet dating to the late Roman period. The object is curved with a flat rectangular cross-section. Each end of the object terminates with a break. The outer face of the object is decorated with a repeated motif of punched ring-and-dot each of which are separated by a linear groove. The object has a dark green patina and is corroded in places. Treasure case 2013 T44. 1. Socketed axehead. Complete, cast, copper alloy socketed axehead with loop and moulded collar. Type Yorkshire. Three parallel ribs are visible on both faces of the axe and extend for less than half the length of the face (c.25mm) from a horizontal collar that runs around the axe near the collar. The collar is prominent and everted while the mouth is sub-rectangular (nearly square) in plan. A cast copper-alloy Early-Medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian strap end of Thomas' Class E Type 3. The plate is tongue shaped in form with flattened and incomplete split attachment in the centre of which is an incomplete copper alloy rivet. The front face of the plate has a vertical median rib with internal groove and irregular lateral nicks or grooves.
