An incomplete cast copper alloy strip bracelet dating to the late Roman period. The object is curved with a flat rectangular cross-section. Each end of the object terminates with a break. The outer face of the object is decorated with a repeated motif of punched ring-and-dot each of which are separated by a linear groove. The object has a dark green patina and is corroded in places. Treasure case 2013 T44. 1. Socketed axehead. Complete, cast, copper alloy socketed axehead with loop and moulded collar. Type Yorkshire. Three parallel ribs are visible on both faces of the axe and extend for less than half the length of the face (c.25mm) from a horizontal collar that runs around the axe near the collar. The collar is prominent and everted while the mouth is sub-rectangular (nearly square) in plan. A cast copper-alloy Early-Medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian strap end of Thomas' Class E Type 3. The plate is tongue shaped in form with flattened and incomplete split attachment in the centre of which is an incomplete copper alloy rivet. The front face of the plate has a vertical median rib with internal groove and irregular lateral nicks or grooves. A medieval gold annular (ring) brooch, circular in shape, terminating in two clasped hands. It has two inscribed facets punctuated by colons with a quatrefoil flower at the base and centre right. Reading clockwise from the pin, the letters (on the inner band) are V O : V O and (on the outer band) V O ? : V O L. The pin is plain with a beaded collar. The clasped hands may once have held a pearl or a gem, now lost. The reverse of the brooch is flat and plain. Comparable brooches are 2006 T119 and 2007 T389.
