A carved stone head, often loosely referred to as a 'Celtic' head. 'Celtic' heads are found in some numbers in Britain, the great majority of which, including this one, are un-dateable. The head is carved from sandstone. The head has an elongated oval flat face with recessed lentoid eyes. The nose is long and narrow with flared nostrils. An incomplete stone axe dating to the Neolithic period, (3500 BC - 2100 BC). The object is D-shaped in plan with tapering sides which terminate in a break. It is oval in cross-section. From the break the sides flare outwards to the cutting edge. The cutting edge is worn and is undulating due to recent damage. The cutting edge measures 6.87mm thick. A stone spindle whorl which is circular in plan probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). It is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object has a central circular perforation which has been drilled from each side. The object measures 33.11mm in diameter, 7.32mm in thickness and weighs 12.0g. A stone spindle whorl which is circular in plan. The object has a central circular perforation which has been drilled from each side. The object is 34.34mm in diameter and 13.11mm thick. Worked stone implement probably dating from the Neolithic to Roman period. The object is sub-oval in plan and hexagonal in cross section. The object is symmetrical although has been broken at one side and at the butt end. The cutting edge shows signs of use by rubbing. The object is thickest in the centre and narrows slightly at both ends. The stone has a smooth light brown patina. It is a crudely made object but shows signs of use.

A complete polished stone axehead of Neolithic date (3500 BC – 2100 BC). The axehead is triangular in plan and oval in cross-section. In plan, the butt is pointed but rounded. From the butt the sides flare outwards to the cutting edge. The cutting edge slopes downwards on one side. There is one small chip on the cutting edge. In side view it is pointed oval in shape. The area around the cutting edge has been polished and is very smooth. The stone has a mottled grey/buff appearance and is fine grained.
