A Prisoner of War plaque dating to the modern period. The object is rectangular in plan with punched lettering reading M.4482. TOTEDA. FRANCE: Each corner of the object has a rivet hole for attachment. The rear of the object is undecorated however the impressions from the punch marks are visible. The object is light silver in colour, possibly aluminium or tin. In the centre of the object is a vertical groove or crease showing where it was folded at the time of discovery. The object is not an official issue plaque but may have been used to mark something such as a box.

A cast tin alloy early medieval-style strap-end. The object is sub-rectangular in plan with a squared off terminal end and sides which taper in width down to a rounded zoomorphic head. An incomplete lead alloy zoomorphic terminal in the form of a dog or wolf's head. The terminal is likely from a whistle. The animal has an elongated snout the end of which is rounded and a clenched jaw. Behind the front teeth a perforation runs through the mouth to the opposite side. The eyes, on each side of the head, are rounded pellets with ridged brows above. The ears are sub-rectangular and flattened against the side of the head. A copper alloy Kershaw's Rochdale Conder halfpenny token dated 1792. Obverse: The Arms of the Clothworkers' Company with a ram crest: "ROCHDALE HALFPENNY 1792". Reverse: View of seated weaver working in his loom. Edge inscription: "PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE OF IOHN KERSHAW". John Kershaw appears to have been a mercer and draper with a business in Rochdale, and is also thought to have been concerned with a woollen factory in the town.

A modern imitation of an Anglo-Saxon sceat of Series E ('Porcupine' type). The imitation is a match for the 'Ashmore' replica produced by Trevor Ashmore in the 196-s-70s. It is listed in Abramson's 'Sceattas: an illustrated guide', p. 154 no. 8. On the reverse is a beaded square enclosing bars, with possible symbols around the outer edge of the coin. A copper alloy Post Medieval finger ring hammered out of a coin of George V, (AD 1910-1938). The hoop is sub-circular in plan with a flattened bezel and sloping shoulders. It is rectangular in cross-section. On the inner face of the hoop is an inscription which reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA BRITT OMN REX FID DEF IND IMP. The object has a smooth mid-green patina and hammer marks are visible on the edges. An incomplete lead-tin or pewter alloy hunting whistle dating to the 18th - 19th century. The terminal of the whistle is in the form of an animal, probably a fox's head. The fox has a long oval snout beneath which is a linear mouth. Either side of the snout are lentoid eyes above which are pronounced and ridged eyebrows. A modern skirt lifter arm dating to c.AD 1800-1900. The arm is sub-oval in cross-section with one end terminating in an acorn knop while the other end terminates with an incomplete loop. Towards the terminal end there is a small notch.. The object has a greenish brown patina and is in fair condition. This object was previously identified as a Medieval steelyard weight but comparisons with IOW-5769C4 suggest it is more likely to be part of a Victorian skirt lifter.

This gold object is the left half of a partial denture. Brian Williams from the British Dental Association Museum advises that 'it would appear to have fractured in the mid-line so originally there may have been more gold, of a similar size/shape, on the right side making the complete structure horse-shoe shaped.
