A light brown cortex remains on one face of the object. A few chips are missing from the long edge with no cortex however it is uncertain whether these are deliberate due to their coarseness. Flint blade dating to the early Prehistoric period, c5000-3000BC. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and triangular in cross-section. The lower (ventral) face of the object is smooth. Two long flakes have been removed to create the upper (dorsal) face of the object on which small ripples can be seen. Each long edge of the object has been lightly retouched with fine serrations and it was therefore probably used as an implement. The implement has been made from mid-grey flint.
