Measurements: Unrecorded Discussion: From BERK-A92065"Known as the 'Gallic War uniface' stater these coins were struck by the Ambiani in northern France almost certainly during the Gallic War [period] (c. 60-50 BC ) and imported into Britain during the late first century BC. These gold coins are frequently found in southern Britain where they circulated in large numbers, and where some [varieties] may also have been produced."

A Post-Medieval gold finger-ring of likely 18th -19th century in date. Description: The ring is thin and has a band that is D-section. Inscribed in lower case on the inside: "In love abide till death divide", then more crudely incised with initials ES. Dimensions: 21mm in diameter,, 4mm thick and weight 5.8g Discussion: The use of lower case lettering and its thin band suggests a 18th century date. Thus the find cannot be safely dated before 1716 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

A fragment of flint axe of Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, c.3000-1800 BC. Description: The fragment terminates in fractures at both end. It tapers from a fracture, 49.7wide to another fracture at the other end 39.4mm wide. It is trapezoidal in plan, lenticular in profile and section and has been bifacially and bimarginally reworked throughout. Measurements: The fragment is 87.7mm long, 49.7mm wide, 26.1mm thick and weighs 157.79 grams.

A flint core of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 10,000 - 2315 BC). The object is a muilt-platform core with at least four platforms. It appears to have been used for the manufacture of blades and flakes. It exhibits a number of negative flake scars. No cortext remails. There is some evidence of platform dressing at one end of the core. The flint is a mottled mid-light grey colour with a large number of inclusions. The core measures 42.8mm long, 25.4mm wide, 17.4mm thick and weighs 24.18 grams.

A fragment of an early medieval copper-alloy brooch, likley that of Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Dating c. 450-600AD. The brooch remains only as the foot and is highly corroded. The sides of the foot narrow slightly towards the terminal where it terminates in two lobes, a shallow raised rib runs down from top to bottom. Both lobes have ring and dot decorration in them just visible throuugh the corrosion. The brooch is a mottled v.light brown through to dakr orangey brown. The object is 18.5mm long, 8.7mm wide, 1.4mm thick and weighs 1.15 grams.

A copper-alloy pipe tamper of post-medieval date, c.1600-1800AD. The pipe tamper takes the form of a chubby human head, with a neck widening to a flat foot used to pack down tobacco into a pipe bowl. The head has a limited features with relatively simple eyes, nose, ears and mouth. The face is fairly low and somewhat chubby giving the head a somewhat childlike appearance. A fragmented possible Roman knife cap or key handle, c.43-410AD. A broken hollow roughly ovoid sectioned shank containing iron corrosion. An irregularl lip is at the terminal end which forms a rough knop. The open end is roughly ovid and totally filled by iron corrosion, two probable rivet points exist on the opposite side to the lip and remain only as lumps of corrosion. The object is 29.1mm long, 13.6mm wide, 9.6mm thick and weighs 14.9 grams.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval barb-spring padlock (c.1100-1500AD). An Early Medieval copper alloy Small square-headed brooch with traces of gilding dating to c.AD 470-c525.
