A Roman very worn cast copper-alloy looped handle escutcheon plate attachment for a vessel, c.AD43-250. The object is triangular in plan with an integral looped handle attachment with is mishapen with ware. The reverse is curved to fit against a curved rim of the vessel. The front of the escutcheon is decorated with a moulded male bust with a prominannt hair detail. There is iron staining on both side of the object. A fragment of possibly Roman ceramic greyware jar (AD 43-410). The sherd is a wheel thrown rim fragment of a coarse dark grey ware with well sorted sand and or quartzite inclusion. The rim is flat this a sharp bend through 90 degrees to a horizontal neck before broadening to a 45 degree shoulder. The fragment is 52.6mm high, 67.8mm wide, 7.5mm thick and weighs 50.78 grams

A Post Medieval copper alloy pot leg and foot. The leg and foot are D-shaped in section with a flat interior surface and convex front. The pot leg is undecorated. The base of the foot is flat and the edges are worn. The vessel leg measures 69.1mm long, 19.1mm wide, 14.2mm thick and weighs 57.4 grams. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1200-1700 for serving and cooking.

Two fragments of ceramic vessel of probable Bronze Age to Iron Age date (c.1000-1 BC). Both fragments are of a coarse dark brown handmade fabric which has been irregularly fired. The fabric has moderate density of angular well-sorted flint, sand and organic inclusions. Both fragments are body sherds, probably of a large-circumference storage container. The thicknesses suggest they could come from different vessels.

A complete and misshapen late medieval or post-medieval lead or lead-alloy vessel (c. 1450-c. 1700). This squashed 'bird-feeder' vessel was semi-circular in cross-section prior to being damaged and had a semi-circular base with flaring sides. It has two parallel ridges just below the rim at the front only. Between these ridges is a band of moulded decoration depicting birds amid a foliate pattern. The rear face is flat. A rim fragment of a Medieval to Post Medieval cast copper alloy cooking vessel. The thickened rim is trapezoidal in cross section and consistent in thickness along the fragment. Cast cooking vessels seem to have come into use in the second half of the 13th century and to have continued at least until c. 1600 (Geake 2001: 52). The object is 34.7mm wide, 38.4mm high, 2.4mm thick and weighs 17.1 grams.

A Fragment of a Post Medieval ceramic vessel. The fragment forms part of the rim of a large plate or dish. It is of pale orange to cream sandy fine ware with no large inclusions. It has been glazed in green on the upper surface. There is a repeated stamped design on a 11 petal flower running around the rim; three and a bit stamps remain. The green glaze suggests a 1500-1750 date. The fragment is 83.7mm long, 54.4mm wide, 7.2mm thick and weighs 20.35 grams.

Four worn rim fragments from Post Medieval redware storage jars. Each of the sherds consists of part of the rim and decorative border below. The decorative borders are made of a second piece of clay that was inserted into the gap between rim and body, and decorated with a pattern of semi-circular lines. All of the vessels have patches of greenish brown glaze along the top of the rim and on the internal face.
