A medieval contemporary copy (probably) of a sterling imitation of John of Avenses (1280-1304) minted at Mons in the mid 1290s (Mayhew M159-160, see also M34 for official issue).
The coin appears to have been produced on a base metal core and silver plated. Given its condition it is uncertain whether the coin definitely belongs to Mayhew's 'enigmatic' group.

A silver early medieval coin, probably a Merovingian denier dating c.725-50 and possibly minted in Poiters St.Hilaire (ancient Petavis) although this is uncertain. For similar coins from this mint see Depeyrot 2001, pl. 5, Poiters St-HIl nos 3 and 4. However, while the reverse type on these matches this coin, the bust here is of much better workmanship.

A small, copper-alloy coin with some evidence for silver-wash. The coin is badly worn, but what appears to be an off-centre radiate bust or head can be seen on one side. The other side remains illegible. The coin is possibly a contemporary imitation of a 7th- to 8th-century sceat, although this is not certain.
