A possible late Iron Age cast copper alloy vessel handle. It comprises a semi-circular attachment plate with a circular hole on each side for attachment to a vessel. There is a raised crescent-shaped collar from which projects a downward curving rod that bifurcates before ending in breaks. Both broken terminals would have originally joined back together to form a looped handle. cf NMS-865CC5, HAMP3380 and SOMDOR-8B7966 are similar examples. Date circa 300 BC-100 AD. A cast copper alloy pin with a protruding flange, possibly from a medieval adjustable candle holder. The pin would have been attached to the candleholder by a folded strip of sheet metal. Two rivets connected the pin to the sheet metal allowing it to be adjusted to three positions; upright, 90 degrees or folded for storage. The pin has a light green patina. Dimensions: length 42.94mm; width 7.15mm; weight 7.92g
