Biconvex hollow button, undecorated, made of two hemispheres of silver sheet soldered together, a circular section looped shank, all of silver. Two blow holes in the back. Difficult to date. Similar examples though much smaller are found on the Thames foreshore and roughly dated to the 17th Century. Compare Brian Read, Metal Button, 2005, no. 367, though this is larger, there dated from a 17th Century context. 17th Century.
