A copper alloy Roman Sestertius of Trajan c. AD 98 – 117 (Reece period 5). The coin is very worn with limited detail but would appear to be an orichalcum sestertius. Obverse with laureate head right. Reverse type is indistinct but possibly Abundantia standing left holding ears of corn and cornucopiae. The coin has a smooth mid-green patina and measures – diameter = 33.04mm, thickness = 3.62mm, weight = 21.4gm.

This is a struck Roman silver denarius of Trajan (98-117). The coin depicts the portrait bust of Trajan facing right on the obverse and the reverse has Victory standing left, half draped and holding wreath and palm. The overall impression is of a poorly struck, off centre coin with much surface wear and some pitting to the obverse. There is a crack in the flan running from the rim to the centre of the coin at the 2:30 position when viewed from the obverse.
A similar coin can be found at RIC II 128.
