A cooper alloy wire penannular Roman Brooch c. 43 - AD 400. The brooch is formed from a round section wire with a diameter of 5.8mm. The coiled back ends are at right angles to the ring and, like the ring, are undecorated. The pin has a flatten section that wraps around the ring and then tapers to a point. It has been bent back in antiquity, as if it might have been used as an earring. The surface is heavily eroded with verdigris and ferrous staining. The diameter = 32.4mm, thickness = 5.8mm, weight = 4.7gm. Fowler Type C - P3. Hattatt 2012, page 339-341.

A small collection of Iron Age pot sherds c. BC 200 - 43. The fabric is soft and sandy, with numerous scattered fine angular quartz inclusions up to 3mm diameter. The surface is rough, unglazed with a dark grey colour throughout.

A small triangular sherd of Roman ceramic hypocaust/box flue tile c. AD 100 - 400. One side has the typical combed keying surface and the other is flat. The material has a pale red outer surface and a mid-grey reduced core with numerous scattered voids, and abundant angular and sub-angular material (possibly flint) with a maximum size of 1.2mm. Two fragments of wall plaster from a possible Roman villa c. AD 100 - 400. Each fragment has a cement-like accretion on the reverse, Piece 1. Has a very slight convex curvature and a straight edge that might be a junction edge(?) and an applied red oxide colour. Piece 2. has a pale pink/cream painted surface, the back is uneven and has a void with what might be ferrous staining? Piece 1. Measures - Width = 41.97mm, Depth = 37.21mm, thickness = 10.9mm, weight = 21.1gm. Piece 2. - Width = 38.36mm, depth = 30.44mm, thickness = 18.9mm, weight = 27.4gm.

A small collection of wheel-thrown Roman Severn Valley (type) ware, pot sherds c. AD 100 - 350. The assemblage consists predominantly rim sherds, with one body piece and a foot sherd. Each has a fine grey core with modest quartz inclusions and small scattered voids, with a reddish-orange colour to both inner and outer surfaces. Measurements are? -

Two copper-alloy Roman coins, probably both nummi, now fused together. The obverse of one coin is legible and is a nummus of Arcadius (AD 383-408), probably dating to the period c.AD 388-402 (Reece period 21). A possible reverse type is visible on the opposite face of the second coin, perhaps with remains of a legend reading [V?](IC?)[TORIA AVGGG?], but this is unclear due to the preservation of the objects.
