A struck gold uninscribed quarter stater of the Western region (Dobunni) dating to the period c. 50 - 20 BC. Cottam et al's 'Sunburt little horse' type, listed in ABC as very rare (ABC 2009.). This example has been struck on an elongated flan, probably with a worn flan(s). A coin with similar obverse and reverse wear has been recorded as WAW-CFB026 on this database. During the Roman period, and perhaps earlier, the Dobunni inhabited an area covering the modern county of Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age lipped terret ring, c. 100 BC - AD 50. The terret consists of a curved frame with a circular cross-section, broken at both ends, revealing what may be a ferrous core. Of the remaining section, there are four transverse 'lips', spaced at regular intervals along the frame. The remaining single knop at one end may represent the terminal of a hoop with a junction link, like Spratling's group V form. The surface has a rough mid-green patina with ferrous staining to each broken end.

A late Iron Age or early Roman, copper alloy, simple one piece Brooch in the Nauheim derivative - La Tene III style c. 25 - 100 AD. A cast copper alloy annular bead, probably of late Iron Age c. 100 BC - 50 AD. The central hole tapers inward from the rim on both sides, to a diameter of 5.3mm. The taper is not equal on each side, both are slightly off centre and one side is reduced from 11mm, whilst the other from 10mm, perhaps a result of hand finishing the object. Otherwise, the bead has a largely circular profile. The surface has a dark brown patina with ferrous like staining and, some modest verdigris spotting.

Fragments of a thin beaten copper alloy silvered, 'necked' vessel/bowl c. 600 BC - 800 AD. The vessel is fundamentally of globular design with the top of the bowl curving inward before terminating in a flared, rolled inward rim. The upper portions are decorated with rows of short, crudely incised/struck vertical groves on the exterior that extend from the mid outer wall, stopping short of the everted form to the rim. The crude decoration is perhaps more emblematic of this bowl being early, rather than from the later Anglo Saxon age. That said, the apparent 'silvering' is perhaps typi…
