Copper alloy coin, probably a contemporary copy of an Early Medieval Series L, type 12 sceat thought to have been minted in London c.730-765 AD. Contemporary copper alloy copies of sceats are relatively common, this example however is unusually thin and hence easy to distinguish from a genuine coin, even if silvered, it may therefore be a more modern imitation.
