A Post Medieval copper-alloy double loop buckle with serrated edge, tapering to a point at each end. There are four round holes in the frame, one at each end and one above and below the strap bar. The pin remains intact and is wrapped around the central bar.

A copper-alloy frame from a medieval single-loop buckle. The frame is sub-rectangular in plan, widening towards the outer side, where the corners are rounded and a number of transverse grooves create a ropework appearance. The pin has been looped around the axis bar, is of flat section and has straight sides which converge to a point.

A post-Medieval copper-alloy buckle, of a style used almost exclusively on Georgian shoes. The frame is broadly 'D' shaped, an axis bar cylinder forming the straight side. Iron corrosion, mainly located in the vicinity of a central cut-out in the cylinder, indicates the nature of the now-missing axis bar.Two spikes project inwards from the curved outer side of the frame.

The frame is broadly 'D' shaped, being curved at the plate end and straight at the outer end, where two sub-ovoid lobes flank a central pin rest. The integral plate is roughly rectangular, has a concave distal end, and at the opposite end, a circular perforation for attachment of the now-missing pin.
