Object type: TILE
Broad period: MEDIEVAL
County: Devon
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Medieval floor tile fragment, comprising approximately two-thirds of the original square. The tile was decorated with a white slip pattern and then glazed. The white slip outlines a black arched line with three straight lines protuding from it at a right-angle and was probably a geometric design rather than a depiction, although there is not enough of the pattern remaining to know for sure.
