Complete large moulded white clay pipe thought to be part of a furnace, filtration system or similar. The pipe consists of a rounded 90 degree bend reminiscent of a very large clay tobacco pipe bowl. It has a pierced wire dish (?mesh) set into the base of the mouth. The diameter opening of the mesh end is 27.7mm and the opposite end is smaller at 19.5mm. It is very lightweight for the size at 304g. No parallel has been found for this item which is thought to be connected to some form of industrial activity. Dated provisionally as c.1800-1950.

Nine flakes of flint knapping debitage (waste material) of varying dates and patinas but mostly of grey-cream-orange colouration. Each fragment carries signs of having been knapped such as ridges, bulbs or percussion, striking platforms and ripples. There is no evidence of retouch. The size of two of the flakes indicates a Mesolithic date but collections of debitage are difficult to date where no tools or implements are also found. Dated broadly as Paleaolithic to Neolithic.

Unidentified object, possibly designed to serve as a seal. The item consists of a sub-oval lead plate with three incomplete prongs projecting from one edge. The reverse has an incised oval line around the perimeter and the front has the impression of the obverse of a coin of Queen Anne, a guinea or shilling based on the size showing a bust of Queen Anne with ANNA DEI GRATIA (in reverse) inscribed around. Complete but worn copper-alloy mount of later Medieval to early Post Medieval date c.1400-1600. The mount consists of a sub-rectangular plate with a raised moulded design on the front and three attachment prongs on the reverse. The design is symmetrical and consists of a central square and to either side of this an open sub-circular loop and forming each terminal a triangle. There are traces of a white metal coating on the surface, probably tinning or silvering. See LEIC-6AFEE1 for a more well-preserved example of a similar type of mount.

An complete post-Medieval copper-alloy trapezoidal double-looped buckle frame, c.1620-c.1680. The pin is missing. The frame, is basically symmetrical formed by two trapezoidal loops with knops at each corner. The triangular outer edges to either side of the frame have a transverse pin rest formed of a simple incised line and there is a also a horizontal incised line running the length of each edge. There is also a lobed knop at each end of the narrowed pin bar, which is rectangular in cross-section. A very similar example can be seen in Whitehead's, 'Buckles 1250-1800', page 83 no 520.

The hoop is sub-circular in section and very large (24.5mm x 21.8mm internally) possibly for wearing over gloves and probably a belonging to a man. It has a flat sub circular bezel with an incised design of a four petalled (quatrefoil) flower with a stem. This design may have been infilled with enamel or left open to serve as a seal matrix.

Post medieval copper-alloy trapezoidal buckle frame, dating from AD c.1620-1680. The frame is double-looped with the sides curved inwards towards the narrowed strap-bar, the whole plane of the buckle frame is curved inwards from side-to-side so that the frame edges are more prominent than the strap bar. The outer edges of the two loops are asymmetrical in their design with one having much more prominent lobed knops which flare outwards than the other. The pin is missing. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead's, 'Buckles 1250-1800', 2003, p83, number 527.

Complete copper-alloy late Medieval buckle frame. The buckle is a single loop, elongated D-shaped buckle with decorative knop extending from the curved edge. The knop has a single narrow collar and is three-dimensional in form. The strap bar is narrowed and the pin is missing. Similar to DENO-08D511 and LEIC-B3D921. Dated c.1300-1400. Several similar examples are illustrated in the Meols report where it is suggested that they may also have functioned as pendants (Griffiths et al. 2007, 94, no.622ff).

A complete but worn large flat circular chunky lead alloy probable seal. The reverse of the seal is plain and the front carries an indecipherable inscription around the perimeter which starts with an initial cross and a central design which consists of a cross design with a fleur de lys in each angle. The centre of this cross may have formed the attachment point for this seal to an item such as a document and this possible attachment point is also visible on the reverse. This seal has been dated broadly to the later Medieval period as c.1200-1500.
