An unidentified copper alloy fitting of probable Medieval date and possibly related to horse harness mount decoration. The fitting is shaped like a small spoon with an elongated D-shape sectioned handle which is bent and broken. There are traces of gilding on the convex surface of the spoon and traces of four probable gilded stripes running across the top section of the 'handle'. No good, complete parallel has been found for this item at this time but see PAS record SF-135396 for a similar style of fitting, also unidentified. Provisionally dated c.1200-1400.

A Post Medieval worn copper alloy leg, probably from a tripod cauldron or cooking pot. The leg is rectangular and tapers slightly towards the round-cornered foot. The leg is a rounded rectangle in section with a central raised ridge along the length of the front, the back is flat. Dated c.1500-1700.

A near complete Medieval copper alloy bar mount. The mount is rectangular in plan, C-shaped, convex, in section. There are two small circular rivets at either end of the mount. Several examples similar to this bar mount are illustrated in Egan & Pritchard's, 'Dress Accessories', 1991, p.212, fig. 133, see especially numbers 1137 and 1144; such belt mounts are dated through ceramic association to the 13th and 14th centuries, c.1200-1400.

Lead alloy fragment of a probable Medieval pilgrim badge, secular badge, pendant or similar souvenir type ornament. The fragment is plain and flat on the reverse and the front carries a moulded design of a facade of buildings with spired towers/turrets and arched windows between.
The closest parallel to this fragment identified in Brian Spencer's 'Pilgrim Souvenirs and Secular Badges', 1998, is a pendant in the form of a purse which has a facade of buildings above the purse bar. See p.314-317, fig. 314a.
An alternative suggestion is that the fragment is part of a toy item dating…

An incomplete copper-alloy button of post-medieval date (17th-century) . The button consists of a flat circular disc, worn around its circumference, with integral attachment loop projecting centrally from its lower surface with a notable casting seam to either side of this. The upper surface of the disc is decorated with an incised ring with central punched dot. Similar examples of this kind of button can be found illustrated in Bailey's 'Buttons and Fasteners', 2004, p.37, see especially figs 8.25 and 8.26.
