An incomplete copper-alloy post medieval portable sundial. This example is of the simple ring type. It is formed of a flat copper-alloy ring with a rectangular channel cut in the centre for about a third of its circumference; this would have contained a separate sliding collar, which is missing. On the external surface, above and below the channel, there are inscribed measurement lines and an inscription O N D W W H S A M I S // M F I [..] W PROCTO[R] S W T.
