Socket from a copper alloy candle holder or candlestick of late medieval to early post-medieval date. The mouth of the socket has a slight lip, flanked c.2mm below by an incised line. The mouth has slightly squashed inwards in one place. Mid-way along the socket is a pair of circumferencial incised lines. Length: 26.15mm; maximum diameter: 21mm (internal 15.3mm); weight: 23.9g.
