An incomplete 19th or 20th century wheel made ceramic jug, made in the Verwood potteries. The jug is complete apart from the breaks around the rim which have removed most of the spout, the glaze has been heavily worn just below the spout due to constant use. The rim flares outwards slightly with a rounded top and would have measured around 10cm in internal diameter. The neck constricts below the rim before widening out towards the belly, below the belly it narrowing towards the base, which has a diameter of c.15cm. An incomplete cast lead-alloy weight, probably home-made/unofficial, dating from the post-medieval or early modern period, i.e. c. AD1600-1800. The reverse is plain and shows that the weight was roughly cast whilst the obverse displays lettering withing two concentric circles. It is mirror-writing and it is not possible to make out the writing in the outer circle. However, the central writing reads '[1/2]lb'. A pierced silver-alloy coin struck under the Turkish Ottoman ruler Mahmud II (1808-1839). Dimensions: 16mm diameter, 0.2mm thick. Weight: 0.45g. Paul Cannon (pers. comm.) comments: 'I can add some further information about this coin. As stated the year on the coin is AH 1223 (equivalent to AD 1808) but this is the accession year of Mahmud II. The regnal year is also recorded on the coin as '28'. It was therefore struck in AH 1251 ( AD 1836). The mint is recorded as Constantinople (Istanbul). From the size and weight it is a 10 para coin. A modern silvered medallion of Wiltshire Friendly Society. On one face is a depiction of T. H .S. Sotheron-Estcourt. On the reverse is WILTS FRIENDLY SOCIETY FOUNDED 1828 surrounded by a laurel wreath. The medallion is 45.82mm in diameter, 4.61mm thick and weighs 30.90 grams. T..H.S. Sotheron-Estcourt (1801-1876) was a Member of Parliament for several Wiltshire constituencies.

A cast copper alloy scale from the chin strap of a 19th cavalry cap. The scale is B shaped with three straight edges and a double convex curve on the fourth. Adjacent to the longer straight edge are three circular attachment holes, one in each corner and one in the centre. It is 33.07mm wide, 21.2mm wide and 0.5mm thick; it weighs 2.43 grams. It is similar to SOM-6F7563. This object has been recorded because the findspot is close to the edge of the military area on Salisbury Plain.

A cast lead pump clack, which is part of a crude non-return valve from an old water pump. The object is formed from a solid disc of lead, projecting up from the centre is a mushroom shaped extension. The mushroom piece fitted through a slot in a leather strap inside the box. When water was drawn up the pipe into the box with the spout, the clack lifted to let the water in and then fell back over the hole so that it ran out through the spout into the bucket and not back into the well. A modern incomplete copper-alloy cross belt plate of the Devizes Loyal Volunteers dating to AD 1798-1808. The front face is decorated with the Devizes coat of arms depicting a castle with a crown above flanked by G R. The belt plate is inscribed DEVIZES LOYAL VOLUNTEERS. The to reverse the bent spike at the top of the mount is incomplete (4.8mm wide at the break), at the bottom of the reverse are two circular studs with flattened tops (12.9mm in diameter).
